Moncy Blanco-Herrera, Daniel J. Rodriguez, Alexandra Ramon and the rest of the team at RRBH Law have not only helped clients win millions of dollars in claims, they’ve helped shape Florida case law with their thorough research and expert litigation.
The voice of ordinary citizens who seek justice for their loss, pain and suffering, the attorneys at RRBH Law are highly experienced from negotiation to appeals and are strong, aggressive in-court advocates with thousands of successful cases to their credit. They help clients get back to normal and pick up the pieces following a wide variety of incidents from denied or underpaid property insurance claims and storm damage to injuries sustained due to someone else’s fault, medical malpractice and more. Simply put, they stand as unwavering legal advocates so clients can begin their healing process. “When I went to law school, I had the same misconception that many people have about Personal Injury Attorneys,” says Moncy Blanco-Herrera, who focuses his practice on all aspects of Personal Injury Law. “I thought they were just trying to make money from other people’s misfortune.”
He began his career as a prosecutor, inspired by “watching too many episodes of Law & Order.” As a Prosecutor, he earned a reputation for being a zealous advocate for victims of violent crimes, while gaining extensive trial experience. He loved the courtroom and had an opportunity to do defense work for large insurance companies, but instead accepted an offer to represent individuals. It completely opened his eyes to how badly our system is stacked in favor of the insurance companies. “I help the little guy who is injured and his life is changed because he can’t go jogging anymore as the result of an accident, yet the insurance company is telling him that it’s not a big deal,” he says. “I want to make sure that they realize it is a big deal.”
In many cases, if you have been hurt or your property has been damaged due to someone else’s fault, or from a natural disaster, chances are the insurance company will not give you the compensation you deserve if you contact them directly. They are large, profit-motivated companies, and their adjusters are incentivized to pay you as little as possible to settle your claim. For example, the new Citizen’s Insurance Managed Repair Program limits your reimbursement to $10,000 if you use your own contractor for your property repairs. They are limiting consumers’ choices and RRBH Law is representing their clients by taking these claims to court.
Daniel J. Rodriguez joined forces with Alexandra Ramon and Moncy Blanco-Herrera to focus on first-party property insurance and personal injury civil litigation. As a property insurance attorney, he represents homeowners and business owners who have had their claims denied or underpaid by an insurance carrier. Daniel previously practiced criminal law which really honed his skills in the courtroom. He began his career working in his father’s white-collar crime practice. “I came from a family of attorneys,” he says. “My father has been a criminal attorney for over 50 years. I started my career learning from him. One of my brothers is a real estate attorney; my sister practices insurance law like I do and has just joined our practice; and my youngest brother is in law school.”
Dedicated personal injury, premise liability, and insurance defense attorney Alexandra Ramon met Rodriguez when they both worked on pre-suit claims and litigation files. Together, they formed what is now RRBH Law’s first-party property insurance litigation department. “Miami is our hometown and we take fighting for the rights of our clients very personally,” says Ramon. “Moncy grew up on Key Biscayne and is raising his family here. Danny and I also grew up in Miami and have deep family roots in the community. There isn’t anywhere in the world we’d rather be.”
The firm redefines the word “comprehensive.” They are experienced in all aspects of Personal Injury, including car accidents, slip-and-falls, work-related accidents, negligent security, nursing home abuse, traumatic brain injury, medical malpractice and more. “Since most hospitals wish to settle malpractice cases with the least publicity possible, you can count on our negotiation skills and reputation to present the facts in such a way to make the need for maximum compensation completely clear,” says Blanco-Herrera. “The attorneys at RRBH Law have a strong record of out-of-court settlements which means faster access to the funds you need to restart your life.”
They’re equally versed in insurance claim litigation: property damage, natural catastrophes, mold damage, remediation and more. They will negotiate with an insurance company on their client’s behalf to obtain full compensation to which they are entitled, including reimbursement for belongings and living expenses if you cannot live in your home while it’s being repaired. They’re also experts in pursing litigation in the event your insurer wrongfully delayed, undervalued or denied your claim, which could dramatically increase your payout. “Most of us in Florida pay for insurance policies to protect ourselves and our families in the event of a loss,” says Rodriguez. “A property insurance policy should provide coverage in the event of damage, loss or liability if someone is accidentally injured on the premises. Lack of complete coverage can result in the loss of thousands or even millions of dollars and possibly even bankruptcy. Yet, how many people read the fine print of their policy and understand if they are fully protected? Couple this with the simple business fact that an insurance company, as a profit-driven business, is financially motivated to minimize coverage and payouts — and this leaves the majority of consumers at risk.”
RRBH doesn’t sue individuals personally. They pursue the insurance companies paid to protect life and property against someone else’s negligence. They work on contingency, which means that they don’t get paid unless their clients get paid. “We’re not afraid to go to trial when it makes the most sense to get you the settlement you deserve,” says Blanco-Herrera. “In fact, other law firms often hire us to go to trial on their behalf.”
While many attorneys will tell you they care, not just any attorney will give you their cell phone number and pick up when you call. RRBH has grown over the years but one thing that hasn’t changed is their deeply personal attention to each and every case; 305.800.HURT (305.800.4878); RRBHLaw.com.
